Description
I felt in a slump over summer so decided to do some work for myself and figured i' d go back to what I would draw as a child and when I first started teaching myself to paint, so came up with this zombie hydra. I wrote myself an art brief for a mtg style creature card and felt like a golgari hydra would be something fun to explore.
I focused a lot more on my brushwork and implying detail, both of which i have had problems with in the past and a tendency to overrender and detail things. I think it was fairly successful in making progress with it and i' m quite happy with how the painting ended up.
