Description

This painting was created for the "Ill Tidings, We Bring" Art Show put on by DUSK Art Collective. "Frau Perchta" is a 5x7" mixed media drawing. The piece is based on the ancient European folklore of Frau Perchta. She was a Christmas witch who would cut open bad children and replace their insides with straw. She was often described as either an old crone, or a young Scandinavian woman resembling the goddess Frigga.
