Description
The Ferryman and the Stolen Sea is inspired by the story, Aesop and the Ferryman from Aesop's Fables. The story of Aesop and the Ferryman follows a legend that a great sea monster will one day swallow the sea, leaving the livelihood of a ferryman obsolete. My painting imagines this ferryman as one who transports the dead across the sea to the afterlife.
