I am both a traditional artist and a professional photographer. For this particular image, I photographed the model on location and she was wearing a costume I designed and made. All the moss was hand sewn to the bodice, skirt, and head dress. I also airbrushed and hand-painted all the make-up which included applying gold leaf designs. It took months of planning and sewing, then about 6-7 hours of make-up application the day of the photoshoot. In post-processing, there are only minimal adjustments and digital enhancements done in Photoshop.
