Description
Ethereal Valley was created after studying rock formations in the badlands area of the United States, some of which are very alien looking. I did my preliminaries sketches in photoshop and then tranfered the image in pencil to cradled Masonite board. The underpainting is done in acrylic, oil was later added on top of the acrylic. This is a very textured piece. Ethereal Valley will be featured in an upcoming issue of Utopia Science Fiction Magazine. I don' t know the date yet but it was chose amongst three entries for publication.
