Some people seek refuge in stone walls or on distant shores, but others, like Aubrey McBride, escape into the boundless realms within themselves. Here, at the edge of the waking world, she drifts between shadow and light, her spirit unburdened by the weight of reality. The wind stirs the wild grasses around her, as if whispering secrets that only dreamers can hear.With her eyes half-closed, she listens not to the earth, but to the echoes of another skyï ¿ ½ a realm where winged steeds rise from the clouds like living myths, and where memory and hope intertwine. It is in this sanctuary of reverie that Aubrey hides, not from the noise of the world, but from its dark, unforgiving brutality. She seeks the solace of her dreams and prays for the person she might yet become
