About Ellie/Elaine FAYBEL (Nesbitt)

Ellie Nesbitt (FAYBEL), a self-taught, gallery and cover artist working in the digital medium, resides in Canada. Addled by osteoporosis and multiple spinal compression fractures, Ellie paints in the supine position for meditative and expressive release.
Inspired by her collection of unpublished, fairytale narratives, Ellie's paintings feature compelling details finessed with floral and mythological motifs. Her portraits are sensory symphonies and textural delights, distilled from tactile experiences and memories on the autism spectrum.
Her work was long-listed for the Women United Art Prize from 2023-2024, shortlisted (results pending) in 2025, and was in High Art Competition's Top 150 in 2024 & 2025. She was selected for inclusion in Infected by Art Volumes 10, 11 & 13.
Ellie was a cover artist for Bourbon Penn Issue 28. Four of her paintings have been inspirational entries for the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize. Ellie's works are published in multiple volumes of 365 ART + Magazine, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Women United ART MAGAZINE, and Marvelous Art Magazine & book. She has showcased at Nanny Goat Gallery (USA), Gallery Nucleus (USA) and The Exchange (Canada) and has had exhibitions/local shows with Curio Art Gallery (Portugal online), Poetic Tiger Gallery (USA online), The Gallery (Canada), Marvelous Art Group, Concept Art Association and Women United Artist Directory. She ran a print series with Quirky Fox Gallery (New Zealand), is working with iCanvas and partnering with the tablet company Wacom as an influencer.
Ellie has written an article for Hyperlux Magazine on her digital painting and preparatory art process for galleries. She has a solo showcase at Mahtay Café & Lounge (Canada) this December and is acting chief editor and cover artist of a special issue of 365 Art + Magazine (Japan). Her work will be on display at The Hub & Gallery (Canada) throughout 2026. Ellie has assembled eight professional artists (monikered DAE) for a first digital painting exhibition of its kind, under JESSO, an initiative for artists pioneered with creative Eli Birdie. DAE (Digital Artist Exhibitions) is dedicated to promoting the digital medium in fine art.
