Infected by Art Book - Volume 14

Rowynn Ellis is a profesional fantasy illustrator and author from Bangor in North Wales. Their work is inspired by strong emotions, nature, fantasy, folklore and mythology. They work maily with pen, ink and watercolour mixed with digital media techniques. 

Rowynn attended Wrexham University and acheved a Degree in Illustration and a Masters in Design Communication. Over the years they have worked with a number of clients including. Wizards of the Coast, Saga Press, Rebellion Publishing, Penguin Random House, OwlCrate, Astra Publishing and Harper Collins. Rowynn has appeared on the BBC Wales Today show and S4C's Y Lle, in 2023 I joined the MCM London Comic Con Q&A panel 'Myths & Monsters Artists'. They have also organised and launched a number of successful Kickstarter campeigns, one of which lead to the international publication of their book 'Welsh Monsters & Mythical Beasts' which documents and illustrates creatures that feature in Welsh Folklore. 

Currently Rowynn is working on a series of personal projects which explore and document creatures and assosiated legends from Welsh folklore. Their aim is to create resorces that take you on a journey through the symbolisum and history of Wales' most renowned folk tales and mythical creatures.
