Description

When I started this painting I began with Morgan Le Fay in mind. Over time the work evolved into something more personal. As I researched this legendary enchantress, I was struck by how often powerful women (mythical or real) have been twisted into villains by the hands of men. This painting reflects both the flames that have burned women throughout history, and the fire we carry within us still.
