Description

“The Sickness That Spreads” turns its gaze toward religion as a whole. It speaks to the centuries of violence enacted under the banner of religion. The skull symbolizes the innumerable lives taken in the name of religion, its form worn by the weight of collective memory. The rosary, meant to bring comfort, spills from the mouth like an infection - evidence of the corruption within.
