“Regrowth”, created for the 2025 Character in Context group show. This piece revolves around themes of self-reflection and the transitory nature of life. In this scene, a mounted scout stumbles into a thick patch of sickly sweet-smelling bramble. Her eyes follow the rippling vines noticing something glinting in the bush; the plated armor remains of an old warrior. Dark thorny vines make their home in the dull metal tomb as bright, dew capped flower buds shoot and weave through the gaps of the armor’s hollowed cavity. Acrylic and colored pencil on Fabriano paper mounted on board.
