Description
This piece is inspired by stoic rituals of mindfulness when presented with an impossible task. The woman carries a cumbersome riveted mask of raised metal with its cold, steely gaze. The mask provides the wearer with a protective shell, serving as a lens to become a distant and impartial observer of one�s own emotions. The winding knots of coral and embroidered gryphon on her cloak and imbue her with the strength to master her mind. Colored pencil, acrylic & digital on cradled panel.
