Location: Indiana USACreated for an exhibition with Indiana State University to raise awareness about the beneficial impact of bats on our local ecology. Strata features an aerial bat in flight, hunting a Luna Moth whilst constricted by a natural predator, the Gray Rat Snake. Strata generally refers to compositional layers of something. For example, geological Strata refers to the layers of sediment/soil/earth that geologists use to identify the age of fossils went excavated. In this case this piece touches upon one segment of overlapping strata or layers of the food web.
